This unique characteristic provides flexibility in separation process development that can greatly impact performance and profitability, especially for industrial applications.
Nanofiltration (NF) is very similar to ultra filtration and to reverse osmosis. In all three processes, a hydrostatic pressure is applied to transport a molecular mixture to the surface of a membrane. In general, the solvent and some low molecular weight solutes permeate the membrane while other components are retained.
